Cristinalda Brandymel Liqueur
A Portuguese brandy-based, honey-flavoured liqueur from the Algarve region flavoured with herbs from the local hills.
The brandy used is distilled from medronho (or arbutus fruit) and as well as honey, lemon oils are added before the product is matured in old oak port pipes for a minimum of 6 months. It is then filtered and bottled in the traditional heat-engraved bottle.
It is clear and pale golden. There is a pungent, buttered honey covered toast aroma. It tastes rich, sweet (but not sickly sweet) with waxy honeycomb honey.
Store and serve advices
Store away from direct light. This liqueur is rich in flavour and volume and can be served neat, with ice and lemon, or in cocktails.
Serve as an aperitif or digestive. It can be used in cocktails and cooking.
