Quinta do Vallado, established in 1716, is one of the oldest and most famous “Quintas” in the Douro Valley. It once belonged to the legendary Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, and still belongs to her descendents.

Winemaking
"Quinta do Vallado - Prima" differs from the typical Moscatel due to his dryness. This wine is made with 30 years old Moscatel vineyards. Before fermentation take place the moist was kept together with the liquid, a technique called Skin Contact. Fermentation, using the process called "bica aberta", lasted for nearly one month with temperatures varying between 14º and 16ºC. The wine was kept for 3 months in stainless steel vats.

Storage Lying down at a temperature of 15°C. Serving at a temperature from 10-11°C.
