Quinta da Sequeira Late Harvest White 2012
The Quinta da Sequeira’s believes that a wine must have its own personality and character, in our 15 ha (37 acres) of vineyards they only grow the traditional grapes varieties from Douro. They also preserve the old vineyards, the oldest are over 100 years old, although less productive, they offer a superior wine concentration. The quality control begins in the vineyard, and each step, from the viticulture to the winemaking process is subject to severe standards of exigency. To reach this level of excellence, they grow all of the grapes used to produce our wine, and all the winemaking process is totally developed by these, without any interference or external dependence. All of wines are produced, aged and bottled on the estate.
Produced with Late Harvest grapes collected manually, the juice was fermented at low temperature in order to enhance all the aroma and palate of the grapes. Six months in new oak French barrels.
Strong and bright yellow. Very intense, complex, with honey, candied orange, nuances of nuts, caramel and delicate oak wood on a background of rich fruit and greedy. Fresh mineral records. Delightfully and naturally sweet in the mouth, very harmonious, full-bodied and smooth and a well balanced acidity. Persistent and pleasant final.
