Quinta da Sequeira Reserve White 2014
The Quinta de Sequeira’s prime location in the Douro Superior is crucial for the superior quality of the grapes. The combination of a schist soil, a very low rainfall and a large thermic range, provides the most intense, rich and concentrated wines. The predominant red grape varieties present in the vineyards are Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela and Tinta Barroca. The white varieties are Malvazia Fina, Gouveio, Rabigato, Viosinho and Códega do Larinho.
Made from the oldest vines of the Quinta da Sequeira (over than 100 years old), the juice was fermented in Vosges new oak barrels at low temperature in order to enhance all the aroma and palate of the grapes. Matured for 6 months in Vosges new oak barrels.
Clear and citric colour. Intense and fresh fruity aroma, with wood notes. Clear fresh and soft, with perfect alcohol/acidity equilibrium, resulting in a very long and pleasant wine.
