Product details

Winemaking

All grapes come from the Quinta do Noval vineyard. We use the “remontage” method for wine in stainless steel vats, with temperatures held at 26ºC. All wine is matured in French oak casks for approximately 18 months.

Tasting Notes

The Douro asserts itself in the eucalypt, gum cistus and salt lick minerality as it opens up, revealing a very spicy, dark yet animated thread of liquorice too. Ripe but firm tannins lend good support, though it lacks the acidity to really hold its shape. A quality which I strongly suspect is likely to be overcome by sourcing fruit.

Store and serve advices

Serve at 16-18°C.
